CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL ELECTIONS DESK — NOVEMBER 5, 2026. Voters in two Dixon City Council districts are choosing separate representatives in the November 3 municipal election. In District 1, Jim Ernest has 607 votes versus Emily Schroeder’s 501. In District 2, Christina M. Cerna has 507 and Thom Bogue 374. The reported leads are 106 and 133 votes respectively; both remain unofficial.
Different council districts, different electorates
The first district has 1,108 recorded valid candidate votes, while the second has 881. These totals are not a complete tally of all Dixon voters and should not be added together as though four people competed for one seat. Each residential address belongs to a particular council district; only eligible voters there select that representative.
Dixon Unified school funding is a third election
A separate Dixon Unified School District ballot question, Measure U, shows 2,742 Yes and 3,348 No in the county’s November 4 report. The school bond requires a 55% Yes share, which the preliminary results do not reach. The school district’s geography and financing powers are different from those of city government. The city clerk race, in contrast, had Lupe Ruiz as its sole named candidate and recorded 4,409 selections.
What the council decides
Dixon council members work on land use, budgets, public services, streets, and other municipal functions. The county still has legally eligible ballots to process, and it has not certified these two offices. Our Dixon election guide provides earlier local voting context.
What source and timestamp mean
The Solano County results via KQED reflect the November 4, 2026, 7:40 p.m. Pacific county election report, reviewed on November 5. Future reports may add properly validated mail, provisional and other eligible votes. A reported precinct percentage does not equal final certification, and no result in this article is asserted as legally final. The Solano County Registrar of Voters publishes official county canvass updates; California’s statewide certification is scheduled for December 11.
Editorial note: preliminary results and election rules are reported independently of candidate endorsements. Source figures are dated to November 4, not a new November 5 county release.
